Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai will discuss the possibility of splitting the cost to search for MH370.KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22, 2014:As of now, the Malaysian Cabinet has agreed to split the cost with Australia right down the middle in the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.However, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said this was not set in stone as Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai will head to Australia to finalise the agreement."We have got Cabinet approval (at) 50/50, but Liow will discuss with them in Canberra next week," Hishammuddin told The Rakyat Post in a message early this morning.During a press conference on Aug 20, Hishammuddin said the Cabinet had discussed the next phase of the search, which involved cost sharing between Australia and Malaysia.He said Liow, along with Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainudin and Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Rahim Bakri, would leave for Canberra next week to attend a tripartite meeting between the three countries.It was previously reported that the Malaysian delegation would also sign a memorandum of understanding between Malaysia and Australia.After 167 days, MH370 has still not been found despite international efforts to locate the plane, which went missing on March 8.Of the 227 passengers on board, 152 were Chinese nationals and 50 were Malaysians, including 12 crew members.The plane was thought to have gone down off the west coast of Australia after it apparently veered off course on the way to Beijing, shortly after leaving Kuala Lumpur International Airport.-For more updates-http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2014/08/22/live-updates-mh17-national-day-mourning/Have something to add to this story?
